Prior to tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation, Tony Khan confirmed two more of the names that are added to the Women’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out.
The two women added are Emi Sakura and former and longest-reigning AEW World Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. The match will take place on the Buy In preshow this Sunday, Sept. 5.
The winner of this match will receive a future championship opportunity. There has only been one in the history of AEW and it took place at 2019’s All Out and was won by Nyla Rose.
Later in the night, Jade Cargill had a promo with her manager Mark Sterling. In it, she confirms she will be entering the Casino Battle Royale and Sterling states she will single-handily throw out each competitor one by one.
Shida, Sakura, and Cargill make a total of 12 participants confirmed out of a total of 21.
The names so far that have been announced are:
Nyla Rose, Thunder Rosa, Big Swole, Red Velvet, Tay Conti, Diamante, Penelope Ford, Julia Hart, The Bunny, Hikaru Shida, Jade Cargill, and Emi Sakura.
On last week’s Rampage, Tay Conti and The Bunny went one-on-one after the latter tried to convince the former to join her as an alliance for the upcoming battle royale. Conti declined the offer, and it was The Bunny on Rampage that would pick up the win after Penelope Ford caused a distraction and sided with The Bunny.
Also this Sunday, the AEW World Women’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker will be defending her championship against Kris Statlander.
