For the upcoming Sept. 7 episode of NXT, several women’s matches have been confirmed.
Ember Moon will be facing the former NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray. Ray recently joined the NXT US brand and had her first match in a victory against Valentina Feroz. Moon was slated to face Sarray on the Aug. 10 episode of NXT. She was replaced last minute by Dakota Kai.
Moon’s last in-ring match has been over a month ago as she suffered a loss against Kai in July.
In a sit-down interview, the longest-reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion says that she was flown into the US brand to inject some life into the brand. She was interrupted by the interviewer who reminded her of the current roster including Ember Moon. Ray says she doesn’t care about any of them.
Upon her debut on the brand, Ray targeted directly the NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. Gonalez currently has her hands full with The Robert Stone Brand. She defeated Jessi Kamea this week and Franky Monet has gold in her sight.
