Mickie James to defend Knockouts Title against Madison Rayne on Nov. 4

Mickie James is already coming out of the gate with her Knockouts World Championship win as a fighting champion. The now four-time champion addressed the IMPACT Zone on this week’s show by saying she is still on cloud nine from her win.

Hardcore Country admitted that it was not her intent to go for the championship when she made her return to IMPACT months ago. However, an opportunity presented itself and she took it. She commended Deonna Purrazzo for their match last weekend at Bound for Glory adding that it was possibly the greatest match of her life.

James confirms that Purrazzo has a rematch to come but no one has seen or heard from The Virtuosa since she lost the title. A long list of competitors are ready to go after the gold and after commentating Knockouts Knockdown, Mickie is aware of this.

It wouldn’t be Purrazzo to come out and interrupt Mickie but someone that she is very familiar with. Madison Rayne made her way to the ring to fan the flame of an old rivalry.

Rayne challenged James for the title and it was accepted. Next week, Mickie James [the four-time Knockouts Champion] vs. Madison Rayne [the five-time Knockouts Champion] will be like old times as the two battle for the Knockouts World Championship.

Further happenings on this week’s IMPACT include the introduction to The IInspiration who debuted at Bound for Glory and won the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships in the process. They defeated Decay bringing their title reign to an end at 98-days.

Cassie Lee & Jess McKay had a backstage segment in their own dressing room with their own personal assistant as a water bottle holder. Gia Miller tried to get out of the new champs what they will bring to the division now that they are both on the scene and at the top. The most she got out of them was, “We are worldwide STARS, Australian LEGENDS and inspiration LEADERS.”

A match took place this week between Tasha Steelz and Rachael Ellering. Both Knockouts were joined by their tag team partners, Jordynne Grace being the new and first Digital Media Champion crowned at Bound for Glory.

The final moments of the match had Steelz deliver a codebreaker to Ellering which landed her on the outside. Savannah Evans went after Ellering but Grace was there to stop the interference. After getting a near fall from a vertical suplex, Ellering stays on Steelz to get the pin victory from a backslide.

As for the Digital Media Championship, Jordynne Grace will be finding out who the number one contender will be shortly. Chelsea Green will be facing John Skyler with the winner to face Grace for the title. Green vs. Skyler takes place on IMPACT Plus on Nov. 2.
