On Sunday, WWE aired its previously taped Tribute to the Troops episode. This event has been held yearly since 2003. For the second year in a row, they have had a dialed back version because of the ongoing pandemic. However, unlike last year, which was behind closed doors, fans were in the audience this time.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has found herself with two wins at the event in back-to-back years. Last year, the EST teamed with Sasha Banks and the pair were victorious against Bayley & Natalya. This time she went up against Liv Morgan. Morgan has recently become the number one contender for Becky Lynch‘s RAW Women’s Championship after defeating not only Belair but three other women (the RAW Survivor Series team) in a Fatal Five-way.
Despite this bout being a short one, the two made the most of their time and showcased their athletic prowess. The match would come to an end after Belair countered out of a hurricanrana attempt by Morgan. Morgan was sent into the top turnbuckle which gave the passageway to the KOD and Belair put her opponent away with the pin.
The two would embrace afterward in a show of good sportsmanship showing how much fun they had during their match.
