Triple Threat set for the NXT Women’s Title at New Year’s Evil

Mandy Rose will be defending her NXT Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at New Year’s Evil. It will be Rose vs. Raquel Gonzalez vs. Cora Jade.

After a grueling street fight with Dakota Kai, Gonzalez pulled out the victory in which signaled the end of their feud. She immediately took to the mic and called out Rose saying that she is tired of waiting for a title rematch. It would be Cora who answered the call and joined Gonzalez in the ring wanting her shot at the championship as well.

The two traded words back and forth respectively but Gonzalez eventually says when it comes to the championship it is every woman for herself. She adds that she hasn’t been the same since Mandy stole the title from her at Halloween Havoc. Gonzalez will go through anyone including enemies or friends to get her title back. Jade says not unless she gets to the title first.

The champion interrupts the two challengers as she appears on the tron screen. She says that since she is in the holiday spirit, she will put the title on the line in a Triple Threat with both of them at New Year’s Evil. After saying she will make sure the match is official, Rose said she had another surprise for her challengers.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction appeared and attacked Gonzalez and Jade from behind. They attacked both women with kendo sticks before kicking Jade out of the ring and throwing Gonzalez through a table that was set up in the corner of the ring.

Gonzalez and Jade will team up next week to face Toxic Attraction in a non-title match.
