The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continues on this week’s NXT 2.0 as the second set of first-round matches is set to take place.
Last week, two teams advanced to the semi-finals and will meet there. Kacy Catanzaro/Kayden Carter will take on Kay Lee Ray/Io Shirai on a later date after defeating their first-round opponents.
Tonight, Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta battle Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai while Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon will try to take out Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade. The winner of the Dusty Cup will be facing Toxic Attraction for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships and Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne have been looking on from afar in the Toxic Lounge eyeing up the competition.
Hartwell & Pirotta recently faced Toxic Attraction and weren’t able to win the titles but will they fare better against Choo & Kai tonight to position themselves one step closer for another shot? Both Gonzalez and Kai won last year’s tournament and this time they look to do it again but with different partners.
