Today, ahead of WrestleMania 38, NXT will have its Stand & Deliver event. The card will have two women’s matches on it, one being held on the pre-show. It will be airing at 1 PM EST with the pre-show at Noon.
The matches are –
NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships – Preshow
Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
NXT Women’s Championship
Mandy Rose (c) vs. Cora Jade vs. Io Shirai vs. Kay Lee Ray
From a controversial ending to this year’s Dusty Classic is what developed into these two matches. Somehow intertwined, Toxic Attraction has made many enemies since they have all three been champions. So many enemies, that Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez are now friends and tag team partners again.
The Dusty Classic witnessed Io Shiri & Kay Lee Ray coming out with the win after defeating Kai & Wendy Choo in the finals. Now, Choo has gone missing as seen on last Tuesday’s NXT 2.0 and Raquel is back in Dakota’s life. After winning the Dusty Classic, Shirai and KLR decided to cash in their championship opportunity for the NXT Women’s Title instead of the tag titles making the match a Fatal 4-way.
Also at Stand & Deliver, Indi Hartwell (w/Dexter Lumis) and Persia Pirotta (w/Duke Hudson) have agreed that they are going to let the fans decide on which couple is better.
