Asuka has become the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Champion after defeating Becky Lynch in this week’s Raw main event. She will face the current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at the next premium live event Hell in a Cell on June 5.
The final moments of the match had Lynch attempting to use the umbrella of Asuka as a weapon. Asuka stopped her with the green mist while the referee was preoccupied with Belair who was at ringside.
Other match results for this Monday’s Raw include Alexa Bliss earning back-to-back wins against Sonya Deville. Deville was irate after her loss last week following being stripped of her authority role. The final moments of the match had Bliss plant a DDT to get the pin after Deville was arguing with the referee. After the match, Deville slapped the official.
In a backstage segment, Tamina was finally able to serve divorce papers via R Truth to Akira Tozawa. Dana Brooke approaches Truth thanking him for helping her in divorcing Reggie. Truth then turned his attention back to wanting the 24/7 Championship back.
Brooke went to get away from Truth and ran into Carmella. The two exchanged words before Brooke continued to get away from Truth. Truth and Carmella reunite and she states she will help him get back the title but only after she gets Dana.
