Mia Yim Wins IMPACT Main Event, Title Match Set For Emergence

The latest IMPACT Wrestling featured several developments in the Knockouts division.

It is official: Killer Kelly is officially joining the IMPACT roster, which has been a long time coming.

On the flip side, Havok should be returning to storylines soon. Taya Valkyrie insists that she accompanies Rosemary to the Undead Realm next week to retrieve Rosemary’s former tag team partner. The current Knockouts World Tag Team Champions are hopeful to increase their numbers against The Influence.

Speaking of, The Influence’s newest member Gisele Shaw defeated Alisha Edwards on this week’s featured Before The IMPACT match. Later on in the night, Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood criticized Shaw for failing to recapture the tag titles for the team and for Dashwood receiving a death threat from Masha Slamovich.

Dashwood vs. Slamovich has been made official for next week’s IMPACT, in addition to Chelsea Green vs. Mickie James, in which both Mia Yim and Deonna Purrazzo will be banned from ringside.

This week’s show was headlined by a number one contender’s match pitting Yim against Purrazzo, marking their first televised singles match together. The bout was also the third time Knockouts have main-evented IMPACT this year.

The bout was hard-hitting and full of near-falls as The Virtuosa and The HBIC gave everything they had in hopes of securing a future title shot. Mia Yim would pull off the victory via Eat Defeat to hand Purrazzo a rare singles loss.

Post-match, Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace came down to the ring to congratulate Yim on her impressive victory. The two will clash for the title at Emergence in Chicago on August 12.

With the Knockouts title match set for Emergence, what else will the Knockouts have to offer next month? Will we see Havok join Rosemary and Taya against The Influence? Will Jordynne retain against Mia?
