Tonight’s episode of SmackDown has big implications for one woman as a Gauntlet Match will determine the number one contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title at Clash at the Castle.
There will be seven women that participate in this match and the winner will go on to face the champ, Liv Morgan. The participants are, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Aliyah, Xia Li, Natalya, Sonya Deville, and Shayna Baszler.
As for the fallout from SummerSlam, Liv Morgan retained her SmackDown Women’s Title in a controversial fashion. The ending had the referee count to three with Ronda Rousey’s shoulders on the mat but didn’t see Morgan tap out to the submission that was locked in just prior to the three count.
Rousey has been suspended and fined according to WWE and is not supposed to be at SmackDown tonight as a result.
