Interim AEW Women’s Title Match Set For AEW All Out

An interim AEW Women’s World Champion will be crowned in a four-way match at AEW All Out.

AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa announced on August 24 that she has to “step down” due to injury and will not be able to defend her title at All Out against Toni Storm. As a result, a four-way match will be contested at the pay-per-view on September 4 to crown an interim champion with Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Jamie Hayter competing.

That shocking announcement was followed by Britt Baker taking on KiLynn King near the top of the second hour. Baker would defeat King via submission in her first singles win on Dynamite since May.

Post-match, Baker got on the mic and tormented Toni Storm until Storm stomped down the ramp. Before she could enter the ring, Hayter attacked from behind. Baker and Hayter’s attack was put to a stop when Hikaru Shida made the save and consoled Storm.

With the battle lines drawn, Baker and Hayter will now take on the team of Storm and Shida next Wednesday on the go-home edition of Dynamite.

Friday’s Rampage will feature an appearance by TBS Champion Jade Cargill. Plus, Tay Melo teams up with Sammy Guevara again to take on the team of Ruby Soho and Ortiz.
