The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be on the line next week on Raw during the Sept. 12 episode. The recently crowned champions Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez will defend against the team they beat in the tournament finals – Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY).
When Aliyah and Rodriguez won the gold, Aliyah pinned Kai who was not the legal competitor in the match. During a promo from Damage CTRL and later confirmed on commentary, Kai & SKY will get their rematch as a result.
Also during the promo delivered by Damage CTRL, Bayley bragged about being the one to pin Belair in the six-woman tag team match at Clash at the Castle. This was the first time Bianca Belair had been pinned this year and over 300-days.
The Raw Women’s Champion would join Damage CTRL in the ring and let Bayley know she didn’t beat her all on her own, it took all three of them to defeat her. Belair challenged Bayley to a match tonight but Bayley of course declined and said the more important thing right now is for SKY and Kai to win back the tag titles next week. However, if and when Bayley wants to go for the title she will get it one way or another.
Back to Aliyah and Rodriguez, they had a match with Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H earlier in the night. The champs would win the bout after Rodriguez delivered a Texana Bomb to Doudrop. Later in the night, when Damage CTRL was heading to the ring, if you look closely in the clip below, you can see Nikki throwing her mask in the face of Doudrop in the background.
Further fallout from Clash at the Castle, Rhea Ripley introduced Dominik Mysterio tonight officially as a member of the Judgment Day. She states that Dom is no longer Rey’s baby boy anymore and that she has made him into a man.
