According to PWInsider, Zelina Vega has been spotted at the Boston airport for tonight’s SmackDown. It has been confirmed that she has been written into tonight’s broadcast and is sporting a new blonde look.
Vega last wrestled during the April 11 episode of Raw facing Bianca Belair. She has been out of action due to injury that required surgery. Since returning to WWE in July 2021, Vega was crowned Queen during the Queen’s Crown Tournament and became one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Carmella.
Furthermore, Fightful Select confirms Vega returning tonight. In addition to that there were talks at one time of Vega possibly returning and replacing Elektra Lopez with Vega in Legado Del Fantasma. LDF are also rumored to make their debut on SmackDown tonight. Fighftul states although this was heavily pitched it was not confirmed that Vega will be taking the place of Lopez.
PWInsider added that Legado Del Fantasma was spotted without Lopez at the SmackDown site.
