Two matches took place on the Oct. 21 episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
First, the evolution of Liv Morgan contiues as she continues to show a different side of herself. Relentless in a match that showed Sonya Deville in a light we haven’t seen her in a while had a result where both women would favor with a double count out. With a not contest result booking may have made it so Deville didn’t take the loss, but she would take the brunt of a post match attack.
Morgan stacked up the chairs in the ring to create pain for Deville after she landed on them off of a superplex from the middle ropes. Morgan who would land on the chairs as well was seen smiling for her actions.
The second women’s match of the night was for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. The champs, Damage CTRL, took on Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi. In a well executed match between all four NXT Alumni, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai would retain. SKY would get the pin on Shotzi off of her moonsault.
Other women on the show included a promo with Legado Del Fantasma talking about their business together and the new addition of Zelina Vega. Santos Escobar calls them an unbreakable force and their legacy will begin by destroying Hit Row.
In the Hit Row segment, B-Fab has an idea of who could be the fourth member and who can join Top Dolla and Ashante in their six-man tag team bout next week against LDF.
Ronda Rousey will be issuing an open challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Title next week. More on that here.
