Tensions are heating up in AEW’s women’s division.
During the October 26 episode of Dynamite, Jamie Hayter defeated Riho in a little over 10 minutes. Hayter tossed Riho around in the early minutes. Riho picked up momentum until Britt Baker held her foot at ringside while the ref wasn’t looking. It wasn’t enough as Riho managed to connect with Code Red on Hayter. Offense swung back in Hayter’s favor as she hit three ripcord lariats to put Riho away with the pinfall.
Post-match, interim AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm appeared on the stage and held up her title for Hayter and Baker to see. It seems that Hayter may find herself in another title match come Full Gear, but that has yet to be confirmed.
Earlier in the night, Saraya reunited with Renee Paquette backstage, but that was quickly interrupted by Britt Baker. Saraya immediately flipped, telling Baker that she’s not in the mood. Paquette had to break them up before it was confirmed that she will host a sit-down interview on November 2 with both women.
This Friday on Rampage, Madison Rayne will take on Tay Melo in a singles match for the first time ever. The two previously clashed in a tag match on the October 7th Rampage when Rayne teamed with Skye Blue in a losing effort.
