Champions Retain At IMPACT Over Drive

IMPACT Wrestling held their Over Drive special on IMPACT Plus on November 18.

In the second match of the night, Death Dollz defended their IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against the tandem of Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans. Rosemary was at ringside to witness Taya and Jessicka continue to be a cohesive unit. Just when it looked like Steelz would shift the momentum, Jessicka countered a cutter with the Sick Driver to seal the deal.

Right after the tag title match, Mickie James went one-on-one with Taylor Wilde for the first time ever, and it may have been the last time ever too. James ultimately prevailed to keep her Last Rodeo going, but a former foe emerged to as the next threat to her journey. Deonna Purrazzo cut a promo and recalled all the ways James has “ruined” her IMPACT career between taking the Knockouts title from her and sending Chelsea Green out. Purrazzo has never beaten James, and she’s determined to end the Last Rodeo whenever she gets that chance.
In the semi-main event of the evening, Jordynne Grace put her Knockouts World Championship on the line against Masha Slamovich once again, but this time in a grueling Last Knockouts Standing match. In addition to their own brute strength, the match saw the use of several chairs and a trash can. In the closing moments, Grace countered Slamovich on the apron and connected with a huge Muscle Buster through a propped door at ringside. Slamovich was not able to stand up before the count of ten. Grace’s reign lives to see another day.
