Following Mandy Rose‘s exit from WWE, IMPACT’s Deonna Purrazzo says she would welcome the former NXT Women’s Champion to the promotion.
Talking exclusively with Metro.co.uk, Purrazzo responded on the topic with –
“Oh, I’m gonna open the door and welcome her in! I think that the Mandy Rose that came to NXT a year and a half, almost two years ago, to the Mandy Rose we see today has been a complete evolution of Mandy Rose….To see her in a different light and on a different platform, and see what else she can do without the WWE confines, is going to reinvent her again.”
Purrazzo continues, “Obviously we can’t speculate what she’s gonna do, or what her mindset is, if she wants to wrestle if she doesn’t want to wrestle – wouldn’t be fair to. But if she chooses to wrestle I want to wrestle her.”
Purrazzo worked in WWE under the NXT brand from 2018 to 2020 prior to her release. She also made several appearances with WWE since 2014 including the Mae Young Classic. During her time there she did not end up sharing the ring with Rose but added in this interview that she would like to.
“Our paths have never crossed in wrestling, we just know of each other and things like that but I think she’s a frickin’ star….IMPACT has become such a landing zone for people post-WWE to continue to grow their brand and evolve as a professional wrestler, and I think she would thrive in this environment that we have at IMPACT. We should break down the door for her and welcome her with open arms.”
Purrazzo has reinvented herself in IMPACT since joining the promotion in 2020. She is a former two-time Knockouts World Champion and also held the tag titles with Chelsea Green as part of VXT.
Purrazzo will be in action on the Dec. 22 episode of IMPACT! alongside Gisele Shaw as they take on the Death Dollz in a championship bout. There has been no word as of yet if Rose wants to continue in the ring.
