Tara returns for one night only!
The January 26 episode of IMPACT featured a Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match as Jessicka and Taya Valkyrie of The Death Dollz defended against Gisele Shaw and her mystery tag team partner as selected by Santino Marella. As it played out, the chosen partner was none other than former Knockouts Champion Tara.
Tara received a pop from the surprised Atlanta crowd, making her emotional in the process. She shook hands with Valkyrie to start, however Shaw immediately tagged in. Shaw worked the entire match and refused to tag in the legend. Tara had enough, leading to a face-to-face confrontation in the middle of the ring. Tara hit Shaw with Widow’s Peak, which allowed Jessicka to pin Shaw to retain.
Elsewhere from the Knockouts division, Taylor Wilde did a tarot reading and saw that there will be more Killer Kelly in her future.
Gia Miller tried to interview Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans about their recent tension, however Steelz grew frustrated quickly. She said she was “sick of it all” and walked off.
Following their recent woes, Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans will meet in a one-on-one match next week.
There was a tense moment backstage against the Knockouts World Champion Mickie James and Jordynne Grace. Grace reminds James that she has a rematch still and James promises it once she beats Masha Slamovich next at No Surrender.
