On the Aug. 25 episode of SmackDown, IYO SKY had her first televised defense of the WWE Women’s Championship. Her challenger – Zelina Vega.
The match was a very good showing for the challenger with Vega who looked as though she could have won the title. This included a huge Meteora from the top rope. However, after a spill to the outside SKY gets Vega back in the ring to deliver the double knees before hitting her moonsault for the win.
After SmackDown on NXT Level Up there was a debut by Kiyah Saint. She faced Kiana James in a losing effort.
