For their Tuesday show, the CMLL had only one women’s match, a traditional two-out-of three fall tag team match. the team-up of the Mexican National Women’s Champion Sanely and the third-generation Amazonian, Tabata, versus the veteran India Sioux and Candela.
The recently retired and turned full-time referee, La Vaquerita, was the referee of the match.
The match was started by La Dama del Guante negro, Sanely, against India Sioux; both second-generation wrestlers went back and forth, exchanging different types of holds and locks after Sarely was thrown out of the ring with an armdrag. When Tabata and Candela entered the ring, the pace of the match was slowed down a little bit between the young talents.
The match picked up after the team of Candela and India Sioux got the first fall, with a combo of a Northen lights suplex turned into a sit-out suplex facebuster and a hammerlock guillotine drop, respectively.
Shortly after, the heles were able to score their first fall with a double knee attack from Sanely to India Sioux while she was hanging from the second rope and an inverted suplex on Tabata’s end.
After the second fall, the highlights of the match were some double team action and two dives to the outside of the ring by the babyface team. The match ended via submission when both Candela and India sioux tapped out.
The match seemed to be more of an exhibition match than anything else, since these Amazonians have been tagging and working with each other as of late. The match was a little bit slow compared to your typical Lucha Libre tag match and had some timing issues, but you can tell there’s a lot of potential in them, including the less experienced ones like Candela and Tabata.
As for the rest of the week, the CMLL announced two women’s matches so far for the weekend: a non-title tag team match between the CMLL Women’s Tag Team champions Tessa Blanchard and La Catalina vs. Zeuxis and Reyna Isis on Saturday, and a match between Reyna Isis and Persephone on Sunday.
