The Tag Team Champs Retain! Dakota Kai Returns on Raw

Welcome back to another edition of Monday Night Raw! We’re gearing up for Survivor Series and the stage for WarGames is setting very nicely. Let’s dive in!

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Damage CTRL, congratulating Iyo Sky on becoming Liv Morgan‘s newest challenger. Cathy asks how Iyo plans to defeat Liv. Iyo confidently replies that she’s ready, hoping Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will leave something of Liv for her. Kairi Sane chimes in, reminding them they have other matters to handle first. Just then, Dakota Kai makes her entrance to a warm welcome. Dakota expresses that she’s missed everyone, but she’s still angry with Pure Fusion Collective, who cost her three months of her career. She vows that with her Damage CTRL teammates by her side, she’s unstoppable.

Pure Fusion Collective vs. Damage CTRL

The match begins with Iyo Sky and Zoey Stark in the ring. Stark gains early control, executing a back body drop on Iyo and then kicking her around before tagging in Sonya Deville. Zoey hits a backbreaker and holds Iyo for Sonya, who delivers a neckbreaker and goes for the cover—1…2…kick out! Sonya then tries a suplex, landing it before following up with knees to Iyo’s midsection. She attempts another suplex, but Iyo counters with a punch and a swift tag to Kairi Sane. Iyo and Kairi double-team Zoey, delivering a drop toe hold and a boot before hitting synchronized dropkicks.

As Zoey tries to recover, Kairi performs a Rana, knocking her down. She follows up with a dropkick to both Zoey and Sonya in the corner. Sonya rolls out, and Kairi dives from the apron with a punch. Shayna Baszler interferes from ringside, clotheslining Kairi before the match returns to Dakota Kai and Shayna in the ring. Kai goes for a hip toss, but Shayna counters. Dakota rebounds with a scorpion kick and hangs Shayna over the ropes, delivering a brutal stomp.

In the final moments, Stark breaks Iyo’s attempt to re-enter the ring. A chaotic brawl ensues, with Sane diving from the top and Kai delivering a powerful kick to Stark. Sonya locks Kai in a clutch hold, but Iyo sneaks in, performs a moonsault from the top rope, and pins for the 1-2-3!

Winners: Damage CTRL

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

The championship match kicks off with Bianca Belair facing Liv Morgan. Liv surprises Bianca with a right hand and stomps, but Bianca soon counters, trapping Liv in the corner with strikes. Raquel interrupts, allowing Liv to pull Bianca down by her braid, spilling the fight to the outside. Liv flies off the steps with a dropkick, catching both Bianca and Jade off guard.

Back from a break, Jade is dominating Liv, lifting her in a torturous hold and slamming her to the mat. Raquel manages to break up the pin and tags herself in, attempting a clothesline but meeting Jade’s powerful big boot. Both women land heavy kicks simultaneously, leaving them dazed. Suddenly, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton appear, and with Tiffany distracting the referee, Nia hits Jade with a Samoan Drop on the apron.

Raquel seizes the opportunity, delivering a diving elbow from the second rope, but Bianca interrupts the pinfall. Chaos ensues as Tiffany jumps onto the apron, only for Naomi to appear and pull her down. Liv hits a backstabber on Naomi, but Bianca tags in, hits her finisher, the KOD, on Liv, and scores the 1-2-3.

Winners: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill

A much better show for the Raw brand as we get closer to Survivor Series. Dakota Kai returning is a welcome addition back, especially now that Damage Control are faces which imo serves Kai better. Good stuff all around as Survivor Series shapes up, see everyone next week!
