Hello everyone, welcome to the Honor Club! This week we had two announced segments, another M.E.M. (Minion Emergency Meeting) with the longest reigning ROH Women’s Champion and Minion Overlord, Athena, while Queen Aminata returns to ROH after her loss to Jamie Hayter earlier this week; she is set to face Christina Marie.
First we get the short squash match between the returning (at least to ROH) Queen Aminata against powerhouse and indy talent, Christina Marie. The match was a short showing. Aminata looked strong, winning with THE OCTOPUS!!! THE OCTOPUS!!! THE OCTOPUS!!! or at least a nice variation of it, as it was set up differently.
A little bit later in the night, we saw a replay of the announcement of the participants for WrestleDynasty, which included The ROH World Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet, Billie Starkz, Legit Leyla Hirsch, and the Forever ROH Women’s Champion, Athena.
After the replay from Full Gear, we got a backstage announcement with Lexy Nair and the fallen goddess and minion overlord, Athena; they did another M.E.M. (Minion Emergency Meeting), the third one in a row if I am not mistaken. She announced her world tour, and it will start at WrestleDynasty after the qualifier match. To end the segment, she tells her competition to STEP UP OR STEP OUT!
I personally hate the fact that AEW does those types of short matches against local talent, mainly because they do it way too often for my liking; at least we got the title match at Final Battle and the qualifier match to look forward to.
I also do not understand why the women’s champions are a part of this match (same with CMLL), since I do see their championships as important as the AEW championships, but anyways.
