Coming off last week’s Raw, tonights February 17 edition had big stakes in store for the women’s division, and Raw delivered! Let’s break it all down.
Dakota Kai vs. Ivy Nile (#1 Contender’s Match – Women’s Intercontinental Title)
Ivy Nile strutted into this one feeling confident after she earlier put down Kai backstage. However, Dakota Kai had other plans, strutting to her new theme song and eyeing a golden opportunity. Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria took a seat at ringside, scouting her future challenger.
Kai started off fast, catching Nile with a slick arm drag before sending her to the apron and cracking her with a kick. Nile shrugged it off, hoisting Kai over the ropes and slamming her to the floor. Spotting an opening, Nile targeted Kai’s knee, smashing it against the ring apron before draping her upside down in the turnbuckle for a vicious running kick.
Kai fought back, landing a forearm barrage, a sharp clothesline, and a dropkick before connecting with two rapid-fire running kicks to the face. Kairopracter nearly ended it, but Nile powered out. A stiff right hand from Nile rocked Kai, who retaliated with a jumping kick to the face. Nile countered near the turnbuckle, sliding under Kai and drilling her with a thunderous powerbomb.
Momentum swung back and forth, with Kai escaping an Ankle Lock and trapping Nile in the ropes before blasting her with a brutal GTK kick to the head for the decisive pinfall.
Winner by pinfall: Dakota Kai
A competitive match with Nile looking dominant at points, but Kai’s resilience paid off. Post-match, Valkyria stepped into the ring and held her title high, letting Kai know exactly what she’d be up against next week.
Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Raquel Rodriguez (w/ Liv Morgan)
With the Chamber spots filling up, this match had serious stakes. Despite both being heels, the size mismatch made Perez the underdog, and she played to it early, slapping Raquel twice before sending her to the floor with a kick. Perez attempted a dive, but Raquel caught her mid-air and sent her crashing into the ring post.
Back inside, Raquel rag-dolled Perez, spinning her around before planting her into the mat. A powerbomb attempt was countered beautifully, with Perez turning it into a hurricanrana that sent Raquel headfirst into the turnbuckle. Perez followed up with a chop block to the left leg and a running uppercut, but Raquel regained control with a fallaway slam across the ring.
A spinning elbow off the ropes earned Raquel a near-fall, but a misstep sent her shoulder-first into the ring post. Sensing an opportunity, Perez hit two suicide dives before countering a into a sharp DDT. A springboard moonsault wasn’t enough to put Raquel away, and Perez struggled to get her into position for Pop Rox.
Outside interference changed everything. Bianca Belair and Naomi stormed ringside, ambushing Liv Morgan and throwing her into the barricade. Raquel, momentarily distracted, turned back to Perez—only to be caught by the surprise Pop-Rox!
Winner: Roxanne Perez
A fun, fast-paced match with Perez pulling off the win thanks to timely interference. With her spot secured, the Women’s Elimination Chamber field is now set:
Liv Morgan
Bianca Belair
Alexa Bliss
Bayley
Naomi
Roxanne Perez
Post-match, Belair and Naomi nearly got their hands on Morgan in the ring, but Rodriguez yanked her partner out just in time. Do I sense gold swapping in the near future?
A video package aired featuring Iyo Sky, reflecting on her past year. She reminded everyone that she once held the Women’s Championship heading into WrestleMania and claimed she had Ripley’s number from their past NXT encounters. With a match against Ripley looming, Sky made it clear—she’s coming for her title.
Next Week:
