In an announcement made by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, a match has been confirmed between one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions Naomi and Liv Morgan. This match will take place on tomorrow’s SmackDown in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Naomi slipped into the role as a Women’s Tag Team Champion when Jade Cargill was attacked months ago. This left Bianca Belair without a partner as Naomi stepped up. They are convinced that Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are the one’s who took out Cargill. This conclusion came from security cam footage that showed Morgan and Rodriguez at the scene.
Naomi and Belair showed up on Raw this week to to confront Morgan and Rodriguez. They caused a distraction during Rodriguez’s Elimination Chamber qualifier match, which resulted in her loss to Roxanne Perez.
The two teams are meeting next Monday, Feb. 24 on Raw with the tag team titles on the line.
