Madison Rayne vs Taylor Wilde (Knockouts Title Match)

Erm, really? The Knockouts Championship is being defended on… the Internet? Whatever, TNA’s logic gives me a headache. But nonetheless, here’s the match between Madison Rayne and infrequently seen former Knockouts Champion, Taylor Wilde.

Despite the video logging in at 4 minutes and 40 seconds, the entrances alone shave off two minutes which means we are in store for an epicly short, Raw-esque two [and some change] minute match.

Madison Rayne begins by taunting Wilde but the former Knockouts Champion ain’t backing down, shoving Rayne for her jibes. Rayne comes at Taylor with a forearm but she very impressively counters into a pin predicament but Rayne kicks out. Rayne runs at Taylor but is hit with a drop-toe-hold and again, Taylor rolls up Madison trying to put her away quickly. Well, it is a championship match [on YouTube].

After a kickout, Wilde quickly hits the ropes and charges down Rayne before doing her Beautiful People-esque gyration for the crowd. She again tries to pin Madison but to no avail. Wilde tries to whip Rayne into the corner but the champion reverses, sending Wilde into the corner but she manages to catch herself and jump onto the middle rope and hits a nice crossbody on Madison. Another pin attempt.

Rayne now grabs ahold of Wilde around the waist and charges her into the opposite corner and charges at her. Wilde puts up her legs but Rayne catches them and throws them through the ropes and slams her down onto the canvas by the pull of the hair.

Madison takes control now, choking out Taylor on the middle ring rope with her leg. The referee calls for the move to be broken up and Taylor fights back with forearms but Rayne slams her right back down to the canvas. With a hurt Taylor sitting on the mat, Rayne runs at her with a hefty boot to the head, knocking Taylor down. Rayne then mounts Taylor and viciously hits her with forearms as the referee tries to get her to stop. She screams ‘Shut up’ in his face.

Rayne whips Wilde to the corner and runs at her, Taylor again puts up her legs and Madison again throws them through the ropes but this time, Taylor catches herself and finds her feet on the other side of the ropes and hits Rayne with a forearm shot. Back in the ring, Taylor mounts offense with a clothesline, chop and dropkick taking the champion down. With Rayne against the ropes, she chops her across the chest and tries to irish whip her into the ropes but Rayne counters with a sort of modified neck breaker against her shin which puts Taylor out of commission.

A very good bout for a two minute and 40 second match. I love Taylor’s fast pace style of wrestling and she really provided some fun spots in this match. Madison’s finisher also looked great and effective.
