Welcome to a brand new feature here at Diva Dirt, Diva of the Week will reward the Diva or Knockout we feel has stood out the most throughout the week. This week in Diva-dom, we saw a 12-Diva rematch on RAW as well as an intergender handicap match, a tag team match on SmackDown! and two Knockout matches on iMPACT!
The Diva or Knockout the prize goes to this week is: Katie Lea. The Diva made her in-ring debut on RAW this week, in an intergender handicap match with her “brother” Paul Burchill against Super Crazy. Though the match was short and didn’t draw much attention from the crowd, it set up what could go onto become a pretty cool gimmick if WWE chooses to follow up – by having Paul and Katie team up against opponents. Hopefully, it will get Burchill over better. Meanwhile, Katie, already an accomplished women’s wrestler finally gets to debut her talents on a national stage. I firmly believe Katie has a lot to offer the RAW women’s division and could become a future multiple time Women’s Champion.
Katie’s introduction into wrestling on RAW was one of the more memorable ways of introducing a female wrestler, in fact she stole the show with her dropkick (well, to be honest there wasn’t much of a show to start with). Katie is immensely talented and has a bright future, I hope this was just the start!
So, Katie is officially our first ever “Diva of the Week”, what do you think? Agree or disgaree? Check back next week to see who we choose!
