WWE Hall of Famer, Mae Young competed in a match tonight on Raw at the ripe old age of 87, claiming a victory over Lay-Cool with the help of the WWE Divas.
According to WWE’s Twitter, that makes Mae the first ever wrestler to compete in nine different decades: “That match makes Mae Young the first to wrestle in NINE different decades (1930s-2010s).” Mae debuted in 1939 thus competing in the 1930s, ’40s, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, ’00s and ’10s.
Mae last competed in a WWE ring in 2008 during a 16-Diva tag match on the 800th episode of Raw when she was pinned by Beth Phoenix.
