Knockouts Champion Gail Kim held on to her championship at tonight’s Against All Odds pay per view, but the former four-time Knockouts Champ, Tara, certainly brought the fight to her in a highly competitive match.
In a bout that saw several big moves from both Knockouts, including Gail hitting a top rope hurricanrana and Tara hitting a top rope moonsault, things were evenly matched until the closing moments. After Tara hit her moonsault, the former champion appeared to have aggravated her injured knee, which she protects with a knee-brace, but as she dealt with the pain, Gail managed to recuperate and hit Tara with the Eat Defeat to take the win.
The other developing story here is the fact that there appears to be trouble in paradise between Knockouts Tag Team Champions Gail and Madison Rayne. Rayne accompanied Kim to the ring, but soon ditched her, shouting, “Screw you!” Where will this go?
In all, a solid match that outdid their recent bout on the Impact Wrestling taping from London, England.
