Today, May 31st, marks my final day as editor in chief of Diva Dirt after five incredible years.
As of June 1, deputy editor Erin will assume the top position here at Diva Dirt. I will still be involved with Diva Dirt in a behind-the-scenes role and will still be involved in things like the Legacy Award, so this is not the end — but as far as day-to-day management of Diva Dirt goes, it was time to move on. I am confident Erin will be an incredibly worthy successor and have every faith in her!
I don’t want to write a big, long farewell — frankly, I’m not sure there’s enough words to sum up the past five years and I will probably just babble. But I do want to say some thank yous. Firstly, to my incredible team, who work tirelessly to bring you content year in, year out. There’d be no Diva Dirt without them. Secondly, to Jason Deadrich for the once in a lifetime opportunity to take a small blog and turn it into a full-fledged media entity. Diva Dirt started as a passion project and I couldn’t be more proud or humbled to see what it has become. Thirdly, I want to say a big thank you to all the female wrestlers and other industry folk who have supported and given their time to Diva Dirt; I’m honored to count some as friends and have the utmost respect for each of you. Finally, a big thank you to all the readers who’ve visited over the past five years and helped turn a little dream into a reality.
Diva Dirt has been a labor of love. It’s been like a child, really. But now there’s a little future Diva in my life that needs the same love and attention.
Let’s call this semi-retirement, eh? And like an all-time great semi-retired Diva we all know and love, I promise not to leave it too long before popping in to say hello.
Thank you and until we meet again…
