A.Q.A, formerly known in NXT as Zayda Ramier, was just announced as a surprise debut for this evening’s Dynamite. She is answering an open challenge for Jade Cargill’s TBS Championship.
A.Q.A’s time in NXT was short as she was released by WWE on Nov. 4 with several other talents. Her other work includes the indie scene where she has worked for such promotions as ROW, SHIMMER, and Rise.
She spoke about her release recently which included talk that she was not medically cleared to compete prior to her release. There were further talks about her and Ember Moon going for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles when both were with the company that never came to fruition. For more on that, you can click here.
As for Cargill, she heads into tonight’s match still undefeated since her AEW debut with a 26-0 record. She defeated Ruby Soho in January to become the inaugural TBS Champion and has defended her title on Rampage successfully against Anna Jay and Julia Hart.
AEW also confirmed that we will be getting a second women’s match as Serena Deeb has opened a 5-minute rookie challenge. One rookie will try to prove themselves against the Woman of A Thousand Holds. Who will it be?!
