WrestleMania is less than 30-days away and unlike the RAW and NXT Women’s Championships, the SmackDown brand is struggling. The SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has defeated three different women in the past two months. Lacey Evans, Carmella, and Naomi have all been defeated by everyone’s favorite role model. Naomi
A prior report from the Wrestling Observer rumored that Naomi would be Bayley’s challenger at the biggest event of the year. This was partly due to the fact that Sasha Banks was out with an alleged injury and her facing Bayley wasn’t fully in the cards. Now, it is being said from a different source, Alex McCarthy from talkSPORT, that there will be a Six-pack challenge.
This match would include Bayley, Sasha Banks, Naomi, Lacey Evans, Carmella, and one more yet to be confirmed. Alexa Bliss was ruled out according to the tweets because she and Nikki Cross are planned to be placed in the Women’s Tag Team Championship match instead.
WWE has not confirmed any match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship as of yet.
The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is today and as of the time of this writing, there is no women’s match for the blue brand. Bayley and Banks won their tag team match against Evans and Naomi this past week. As a result of that win, Bayley wrote on Twitter that she was going to take the weekend off.
The last time a Six-pack challenge took place for the women at a WrestleMania was at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. This was a great time for Naomi who won back her SmackDown Women’s Championship in her hometown. However, the match seemed like an afterthought. On a card of a total of 13 matches including the Kickoff
