Abadon returns to action this week on AEW Dark for the first time in over a month. She last faced Vertvixen in January and picked up a win. In fact, other than her interactions with AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, Abadon has defeated all her other opponents. She received a title shot at the beginning of the year but wasn’t able to capture the gold.
This week she will be facing Renee Michelle. Michelle facing Abadon will be her third week in a row with the promotion. She has yet to pick up a win, losing to Shanna in her debut and then paired with Miranda Alize in a losing effort against Ivelisse and Diamante.
Speaking of Ivelisse and Diamante they will be involved in the other women’s match on Dark. They will be facing Red Velvet and KiLynn King. Velvet is preparing for her huge match alongside Cody Rhodes as they face Jade Cargill and Shaq on March 3.
Tonight we will see more matches from the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament. On the Bleacher Report, the finals of the Japan bracket will see Yuka Sakazaki vs. Ryo Mizunami. For the U.S. side of the brackets, the last semi-finals match will see Thunder Rosa taking on Riho in a first-time match-up. Check back in with Diva Dirt for these results.
