AEW Rampage to Have Information on a New Women’s Talent Debut

AEW is set to be bringing in another women’s wrestler. Since the beginning of the year, the company has added the likes of Mercedes Martinez, A.Q.A, and Paige VanZant.

During an interview with Outlaw Nation, a fan question presented to AEW’s CEO and President Tony Khan asked if he has an interest in bringing in a top female talent. Names included in the question were Mia Yim or Toni Storm. Athena (Ember Moon) is another name that has been buzzing since her release from WWE.

Khan stated, “Yes. I’m not going to say who, but yes. Without naming any specific names or spoiling anything, I will tell you yes. As for when and where, I suggest you watch Rampage tonight. As far as rhymes or spellings or anything else, I can’t tell you that, but what I can tell you is I’ll have more info on when and where you might see a new women’s wrestling star debut in AEW, I’ll give you more info on that tonight on Rampage.” [h/t – Fightful]

Tonight’s Rampage has Nyla Rose scheduled to compete on tonight’s show after her attack on the AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa on Dynamite. The interview would continue to discuss the AEW women’s division and those that Khan has been impressed with.

He also spoke about ROH and now that he is the owner and current booker about the promotions return on April 1 at Supercard of Honor. Currently, there isn’t a women’s match booked for the event. The main reason is that the ROH Women’s World Champion is Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo is with IMPACT Wrestling and that promotion has an event (Multiverse of Matches) on the same night as SuperCard of Honor. Khan says they are still working on what to do with that as the show grows near.
