Last week AEW announced the participants for the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. This week the promotion revealed the first round of the competition begins on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. The tournament kicks off in fantastic style as Thunder Rosa goes one-on-one with “Legit” Leyla Hirsch.
Not only will Leyla Hirsch and Thunder Rosa kick off the first-ever AEW women’s title tournament, but this is the first time they have met inside in a ring. Hirsch and Rosa are two of the best and most credible wrestlers in the company and the perfect to duo to kick off the competition.
Hirsch made an impact in AEW with consistently strong and solid matches since her debut back in October last year. Rosa has elevated the women’s division every time she appears for the promotion with her star power and standout presence. Combine this with their legitimate wrestling style and in-ring skill they bring instant kudos and prestige to the tournament.
Rosa heads into the match looking to rebound after her loss to Britt Baker in last week’s excellent match. But, she has a challenge on her hands against Hirsch who will be looking to progress to the second round.
Whatever the outcome Leyla Hirsch and Thunder Rosa will kick off what looks to be an incredible tournament in style.
