Alba Fyre is determined to be the one to not only dethrone Mandy Rose as the NXT Women’s Champion, but she wants to burn her empire to the ground.
After Fyre and Rose came face to face last week, a vignette aired on the Sept. 20 episode of NXT. Fyre stated that she looked in Rose’s soul and realizes the fear that the champion has knowing that her title reign is almost over.
Rose and the rest of Toxic Attraction were backstage to respond to Fyre’s promo saying that she isn’t worried about her. She instructed Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin to prove why they are better than anyone else as they took on Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. Nile was still upset after Damon Kemp turned on the Creed Brothers at Worlds Collide. She stated she was focused.
In the tag team bout, Toxic Attraction would take advantage of Nile perhaps having too much on her mind and delivering tag team offense before Jayne got the pin. A rare pin for Nile as Paxley tried to get in to break up the pin and Toxic Attraction being back to their winning ways.
The other match of the week had Wendy Choo taking on Cora Jade. Choo was trying to keep some momentum after defeating Tiffany Stratton in Lights Out Match several weeks ago. Unfortunate for Choo, she not only lost this match against Jade but has a new enemy to face – Lash Legend. Choo was pinned after Jade hit a DDT. As Jade was making her way up the ramp, Legend would attack Choo from behind.
Sol Ruca will be making her NXT debut next week. Ruca has been seen a handful of times on NXT: Level Up but for a few weeks’ vignettes have aired for her NXT debut. Her vignettes have included her being at the beach but she says she will be leaving the beach to make her way to the ring.
There was another vignette showing Roxanne Perez’s last match against Meiko Satomura where she suffered a loss but took away a lot. Satomura said after defeating Perez that she will become a champion in the near future. Perez said that she found an edge she did not know she had thanks to Satomura and she will use it against Cora Jade in the near future.
Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark are targeting the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in a backstage interview.
And lastly, it is more or less confirmed that the person in the red hoodie is a woman and she has appeared in the crowd now with a mask on.
