In perhaps one of the arguably best endings to a SmackDown in recent memory, Alexa Bliss was taken down by The Fiend. The main event had just ended where Nikki Cross failed yet again to take down Bayley and become the SmackDown Women’s Champion. As Bayley and Sasha Banks exited up the ramp and to the backstage area, there was a distraught and angry Cross in the ring with her tag team partner Bliss.
Bliss was trying to console Cross but she wasn’t having it. She tried to help her off the mat, but Cross wouldn’t take her help. Instead, she shoved her, pushing Bliss down to the mat. Cross exited the ring and headed up the ramp to go backstage.
This left Bliss in the middle of the ring alone as The Fiend’s signature noises started to happen and the lights went out. As the lights reappeared and lit up in red, The Fiend appeared with Bliss looking terrified.
He circled around her before getting down close to her face and then he raised his hand before slowly leaning in to apply the mandible claw – causing her to be forced down on the mat.
Bliss previously appeared during Bray Wyatt’s match against Braun Strowman in the Wyatt Swamp Fight. There was a persona that has been believed to be Sister Abigail as a woman that appeared during that fight. Sister Abigail has always been mentioned throughout the persona of Bray Wyatt and into The Fiend character but has never been played out by an actual wrestler on-screen.
Could Alexa Bliss really be Sister Abigail moving forward? Or perhaps does Nikki Cross play a role in this?
