With SummerSlam now over, things seem to be moving forward now on the RAW brand in some situations.
Charlotte Flair became the new RAW Women’s Champion at SummerSlam when she forced Nikki A.S.H. to submit in a match that also included Rhea Ripley. Finally, we seem to be moving past these three feuding for a number of months to now Alexa Bliss stepping up.
The Queen made her way to the ring to do what The Queen always does. Make a statement. Just when it seemed like no one was going to interrupt Flair and show us who is next to go for the championship, Bliss’ music hits.
Bliss along with Lilly comes out to the stage despite a perplexed Flair. All Bliss said was, “Lilly and I just wanted to say hi!” The two women just stare at each other to end the segment.
In a WWE Exclusive, Flair continues to focus on the speech she gave in the ring. She started the Women’s Evolution and now as champion again she is starting a new evolution. As for Alexa, she sees Bliss for the woman she is and knows her accomplished resume. But bringing out a doll is cute, but The Queen doesn’t do cute. She says Alexa and Lilly will bow down just like the rest of them.
Speaking of wrapping things up, Bliss seems to have now moved past Eva Marie and Doudrop. At SummerSlam, Bliss defeated Eva in singles competition which gave Doudrop the opportunity to turn on the woman who brought her onto RAW. She mocked Eva and celebrated her loss post-match.
On tonight’s RAW, Doudrop was being interviewed backstage. She was asked what is going on between herself and Eva Marie after what went down at SummerSlam. She says that she made a mistake aligning herself with Eva upon coming to the red brand. She discusses how Eva tried to put her down from day one by renaming her as Doudrop. Well, she likes that name, and she is keeping it.
Eva then attacks her former protege with a road case and slams her head multiple times on the top of it. Doudrop calls Eva a bitch after the Eva-lution walks away.
The two will face off against each other in a match next week. Will Eva come alone, or will we see perhaps someone new by her side to join the Eva-lution?
There were more segments for the women over matches on this week’s show, but we did get one tag team match. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax faced Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. Ripley and Nikki losing to Flair on Saturday and with Nikki losing the title, the two needed a win.
The match did get down to Ripley and Baszler whose battle back and forth brought back the vibes of their feud in NXT. After Nikki took Jax out on the outside by a crossbody off the top turnbuckle, this allowed Ripley to get the Riptide on Baszler to secure the win.
