Alexa Bliss made her return to in-ring action on Monday Night RAW after a lengthy layoff, defeating Bayley in singles competition.
Bliss issued a challenge to both Bayley and her partner in the Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, Sasha Banks, earlier in the day via Twitter. Bayley was the one to accept but would end up on the wrong end of the result as Bliss won in an impressive display.
Bliss has been out of action since the Royal Rumble back in January. Before that, she had been out of action for several months dating back to September, after suffering a concussion.
She filled the time between in-ring stints by serving as the head of the RAW women’s division for a time, as well as hosting her own talk show, “A Moment of Bliss.”
Most recently, she was the host of WrestleMania 35. In the role, she made several key decisions for the show, including booking the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match and inserting SNL Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Bliss is a former five-time women’s champion and has been a stalwart of both the Smackdown and RAW women’s divisions since the brand split in 2016.
