Alicia Fox opens up about her sobriety and her desire to help others

There have been many rumors swirling around this year on Alicia Fox‘s status within WWE. Other than one outing on Main Event, she hasn’t been in a match since RAW in April facing Becky Lynch. From there she appeared on the RAW Reunion episode in July as one of the returning legends.

Many fans scratched their heads trying to figure out why Fox was grouped in with the legends when she was currently an active member of the roster. Since then there have been rumors that her time in the ring may have come to an end from her profile being moved on WWE.com from the active roster to the alumni section.

She hasn’t appeared on-screen since the RAW Reunion and there has been no word on her status from WWE. There were prior rumors that she was working in a backstage role but there has been no confirmation of this.

Today, Fox has utilized her social media accounts as a platform to speak on her sobriety. She admits that she wants to be transparent and honest as she addresses her recovery from alcohol. Fox confirms that she is a few months sober.

After working through her emotions she has opened herself up to help others. She wants to do so by using a separate Instagram account as a safe haven where others can discuss and help others on their recovery.

“I’ve learned that alcoholism is life-threatening situation and support is available!! I figured I can share my insight and BE of SERVICE to anyone finding it hard to believe that ‘YOU ARE IMPORTANT’ and deserve an opportunity to learn how to live a clean and sober life… it would be an honor to share my #hope, #strength, and #experience”

Fox most recently appeared at a pre-sale party for WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Fla. which I personally attended. She was there to promote WrestleMania along with Nia Jax and Ruby Riott. She was energetic, beautiful, and a pleasure to meet.

Diva Dirt wants to send our best wishes to Alicia Fox no matter what her future holds. Congratulations on being so honest, candid, and thank you for your willingness to help others.
