All Elite Wrestling is headed back to the place where it all started. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, All In 2 will take place on Aug. 31, 2019, at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Last weekend at C2E2, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks teased the idea. “Let’s maybe come back to Chicago, for what, a Comic-Con,” Omega said. This, of course, led to an “All In 2” chant. Matt Jackson quickly responded, “Let’s do what they’re saying. There is a building with our faces on the plaque on the entrance. Maybe we should go there.”
Last month, the Young Bucks revealed the Sears Centre features a plague commemorating All In on an episode of Being the Elite. The phenomenon billed as “The Largest Independent Wrestling Event Ever” drew 11,263 fans on Sept. 1, 2018. Its success led to the launch of All Elite Wrestling in January.
AEW hasn’t made an official announcement, but members of the Elite had said more than once they plan to do another event in Chicago because the city feels so special to them. The promotion will hold their first official event, Double or Nothing, on May 25.
