The women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is about to kick off on this upcoming episode of NXT 2.0 on Feb. 22.
This will be the second year that the women’s division participates in this tournament and the winners will go on to get a championship match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Last year’s winners were Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez who eventually were crowned the inaugural tag team champs. The current titleholders are Toxic Attraction who just successfully defended against Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta at Vengeance Day. The brackets for the tournament have not been confirmed but there will be eight teams involved.
On Friday evening, Lash Legend confirmed on social media that her partner will be Amari Miller. Miller was seen backstage this past Tuesday on NXT 2.0 speaking to Wendy Choo who asked her if they could be teammates. Miller had to politely decline to say she already has a partner. Miller responded to their partnership in a retweet.
Legend and Miller have teamed up before on 205 Live where they faced Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon in a losing effort.
