In late breaking news overnight, the Wrestling Observer website reported that Angelina Love has been signed to a new TNA contract. Last month, it had been rumoured that Love would make her return on this coming Monday’s live three hour episode of Impact.
According to PWInsider, word of Love’s return has been spread around the TNA wrestlers and it is expected she’ll be back on Monday night.
A source close to Angelina told us recently that she was still in Canada for the holidays as of a few days ago. It’s likely that she caught a flight yesterday or will be catching one today to make tomorrow’s taping in Orlando.
I’m sure this news will lead to parades in the streets for Knockouts fans, Angelina arguably was one of the best characters in TNA during her initial run. Considering TNA hasn’t really had a strong heel at the forefront of the Knockouts division since her departure, I’m guessing she’ll be hot-shotted back to the top of the roster and feud with new Knockouts Champion, Tara.
Looking back on the past few months however, I am really disappointed in TNA as they could have used the time to develop a new top-level heel i.e. Hamada or Alissa Flash. It’s only in the past few weeks that they’ve given the ball to ODB, while the other three months have been unaccounted for it seems.
