It was Tuesday and you know what that means. AEW Dark offered up another packed show, which featured four women’s matches and Britt Baker‘s Waiting Room.
Three of the matches featured Mission Pro Wrestling regulars, Madi Wrenkowski, Jazmin Allure and Vert Vixen who returned to the show for the second week running.
The first match of the night was Lindsay Snow vs Penelope Ford. “The Bad Girl” would pick up the win by using her athleticism to counter Snow’s strikes and submission prowess.
The match ended when when Ford hit the springboard cutter for the win. This was a good showcase for Ford who has been criminally underused by AEW this year.
Britt Baker’s Waiting Room.
Baker and Reba/Rebel were on form in another entertaining talk show segment. The highlight was Baker accusing Cody of stealing Jon Moxey’s spotlight by announcing his baby news.
Anna “99” Jay vs Jazmin Allure.
Next up we had the “The Queen Slayer” Anna Jay defeat Jazmin Allure. Jay looked particularly good here showing off a beautiful array of the kicks.
Jay would finish the match with a fantastic transition into her chokehold for the submission victory. This was another good match and it made Jay look every bit the star she is.
Leva Bates vs Madi Wrenkowski.
Wrenkowski started the match by tearing pages out of the Young Bucks’ autobiography, much to the dismay of Bates. After some back and forth action, Wrenkowski went after the book again but this time ate a suprise superkick from Bates. Bates trapped her opponent in a small package to pick up her fourth consecutive win.
Tay Conti vs Vert Vixen.
Tay Conti defeated Vert Vixen in the best women’s match of the night. Conti’s confidence is growing ans her in-ring work is better because of it. Both fighters looked great throughout the match exchanging nice strikes and smooth transistions.
The end of the match came when Conti hit a pumpkick and the TCO for her fourth win on the bounce.
This was another good episode of AEW Dak that continues to be the platfrom to showcase new and fresh match ups. While this is not a bad thing AEW would be wise to to use the show to build stars and storylines by adding longer and more meaningful matches. Hopefully this will be implemented in 2021.
