One week from this Saturday, seven women will enter the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and one will win the briefcase almost guaranteeing her a championship win. Asuka was added to the field after she defeated Becky Lynch in the main event of the June 20 episode of Raw. She joins Lacey Evans, Raquel Rodriguez, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan thus far. Shotzi vs. Aliyah takes place on the June 24 episode of SmackDown for the sixth spot.
The final moments of the match had some quick exchanges between both women. Asuka reversed the Manhandle Slam into an attempted pinfall. However, she was countered by Lynch who achieved a near fall before a kick to the head by Asuka. Asuka got the pin and qualifies. She will try to be a double Money in the Bank winner on July 2 in Las Vegas. She won in 2020 and didn’t have to cash in as Lynch handed over the Raw Women’s Title prior to her maternity leave.
After the match, Lynch continues to lose it as she tears apart the announce desk.
Earlier in the show, it was confirmed that Rhea Ripley will be unable to participate in the Raw Women’s Title match. A Fatal 5-way took place in which Carmella won. She will challenge Bianca Belair for the belt at Money in the Bank. For more on that you can click here.
At the Main Event tapings, it has been reported that Dana Brooke lost the 24/7 Championship to Doudrop.
