A shooting has taken place at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, NV. on the evening of Jan. 21 and it is being investigated by police. According to 8 News Now, there are three injuries as a result of a shooting and they are believed to be non-life threating. One half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Asuka – tweeted that she was present during this incident.
Police are stating that the shooting took place as a result of juveniles who started to get into a fight. Prior to the fight occurring one person pulled out a firearm and fired it into the crowd. The mall was placed on lockdown.
Asuka explains in her tweets that she was able to flee and escape to a GUESS store. She states that she heard screaming from outside the store’s doors.
Thankfully, it appears that she is safe. There was no update on if the suspect was in custody but it did explain that the gang unit is investigating.
Asuka will be facing Becky Lynch this Sunday at the Royal Rumble for the RAW Women’s Championship.
