Athena has reached the biggest milestone of ROH history. She has reached 646 days as ROH Women’s World Champion. This means that she has held a title in ROH more than any other champion, female or male.
Athena won the title from Mercedes Martinez in December 2022. She is just the fourth woman to hold this gold following Deonna Purrazzo and Rok-C (Roxanne Perez). Since capturing the title, Athena has defended the championship successfully a total of 22 times. Her last championship defense was on July 27 at Death Before Dishonor, defeating Queen Aminata. She will next face Gisele Shaw at Maple Leaf Pro’s Forged in Excellence event.
Athena becoming the longest reigning champion means she surpassed the 645 day reign of Samoa Joe as ROH World Champion in 2003 to 2004.
