Athena took AEW by storm by debuting during Double or Nothing last weekend and quickly made a direct path towards the TBS Champion Jade Cargill.
On Dynamite, Athena’s request for a title shot was quickly shot down by Cargill but the champion’s Baddies quickly came to her aide. As a result, Kiera Hogan stepped to Athena and the two had a match this week on Rampage.
The numbers outside the ring for Hogan included Cargill, Red Velvet, and Stokely Hathaway. Velvet would get involved and trip Athena off the apron causing her to come crashing down to the ringside floor. The match would end with Hogan and Athena battling up top before Hogan gets knocked down to the mat. Athena hits her O-Face finisher for the victory and to secure her first win in AEW.
