At tonight’s historical NWA EmPowerrr event, Awesome Kong made a shocking appearance.
During a speech given by Gail Kim, Taryn Terrell interrupted her former foe in TNA/IMPACT with Jennacide and Paola Blaze (Mayfield) as her backup. Terrell insisted that Kim leave the ring but it would be Terell who ended up leaving – the hard way.
Kong made her way out to the ring and took out Terrell and gang before coming face-to-face with Gail Kim. She took to the mic and said that it has been a tough year for her in her household. Adding to that, Gail is the only person who could get her off her couch to come to EmPowerrr.
In a heartful moment, Kong says that if she is going out, she wants to go out with her greatest rival. She then proclaimed, “I’m done.” The segment ended with Kong and Gail embracing.
A veteran in the ring, Kong has wrestled for nearly two decades. She is highly decorated and has won championships across many promotions. Kong is a former NWA World Women’s Champion, two-time TNA Knockouts Champion, and has worked for promotions all over the world. She most recently was seen in AEW.
