Former Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong has been sent home from TNA’s UK tour today following an altercation with fellow Knockout Reby Sky.
According to a report from PWInsider, the altercation began when Kong, taking issue with Sky dressing in the Knockouts’ locker room, threw Reby’s bag into the hallway. When Reby left the room to retrieve her things, Kong is said to have gone after her, accusing her of “not apologizing.”
The report states that there are two versions of the story making the rounds: one in which Kong is stopped before she could touch Reby, and another (which they note that they’ve heard from far more people) in which Kong “throttled” Reby by the neck and assaulted her until security and Producer Pat Kenney where able to restrain her.
It is also said that Reby’s infant son, who had appeared at the tapings, was in the vicinity of the incident.
Tension between the two extends back to 2013, when Reby’s tweets about Sid Vicious no-showing an indy booking lead to Kong calling her out in a shoot interview with Kayfabe Commentaries.
PWInsider notes that Kong’s long-term status TNA is likely undecided at this moment.
