Bayley Pins The Tag Team Champ Liv Morgan; The Triple Threat Circle the Gold Ahead of WrestleMania

On the April 8, 2025 episode of WWE Raw, the road to WrestleMania rolled into its final turn. With the Women’s Tag Team Championship match set for this Sunday, Liv Morgan and Bayley collided, each flanked by their respective partners, Raquel Rodriguez and Lyra Valkyria. Let’s dive right in!

Bayley (w/ Lyra Valkyria) def. Liv Morgan (w/ Raquel Rodriguez)

Liv Morgan opened with an aggressive start, targeting Bayley in the corner with stiff kicks before getting slapped right back into reality. Bayley swung the momentum with a Thesz Press and a sliding clothesline for an early near fall.

Liv dodged a flying elbow and answered with a slick dropkick, then squashed Bayley in the corner with a body splash. Bayley responded with a clothesline and a suplex, reminding everyone why she’s a Grand Slam champ. The action spilled to the floor where Bayley tried to barrel through Liv, but got cracked with a forearm instead. Liv hit back-to-back vertical suplexes on the outside, but her attempt at a third was shut down as Bayley tossed her into the steel steps. Not to be outdone, Liv retaliated with a creative suplex off the steps that left Bayley sprawled ringside as they hit a commercial break.

Back in, both women were nursing damage but still throwing shots. Bayley landed a hard knee to Liv’s face, only to eat a middle-rope enziguri moments later. Liv nearly stole the win with a couple of roll-ups, but Bayley fired back with a running knee and a sunset flip Buckle Bomb. Liv, ever the wildcard, hit a Codebreaker while standing on the apron and dropkicked Bayley to the floor.

Momentum continued to swing faster as Bayley tried a rope-assisted neckbreaker, but Liv broke free and caught her with a knee. Liv leapt from the turnbuckle, but Bayley countered with a jaw-rattling stunner-like move, then followed up with the Bayley-to-Belly. Raquel attempted to place Liv’s foot on the bottom rope—but the referee spotted her. While the ref was busy arguing with Raquel, Lyra grabbed Bayley’s torso mid-Oblivion attempt thus allowing Bayley to jackknife pin her for the win.

Winner: Bayley

A well-paced, scrappy match that played its role perfectly. Bayley gets the credibility boost as a challenger pinning a champion before WrestleMania, while the finish smartly protects Liv.

Bianca Belair spoke first in a pre-taped promo that doubled as a subtle flex. She addressed the chaos surrounding Jade and Naomi, noting that the drama threw her off her game—but also awakened a more focused version of herself. Belair reminded us she’s undefeated at WrestleMania and fresh off winning the Elimination Chamber. Her message? You’re about to see the best version of the EST, whether Rhea or Iyo likes it or not.

Next up, Rhea Ripley—cold, calculated, and clearly not buying the EST’s sincerity. Rhea claimed Bianca was manipulating public perception, trying to paint Rhea as the villain. She warned that at WrestleMania 41, she’ll reclaim her title and show Bianca exactly what it means when Rhea doesn’t play nice.

Finally, the champ spoke. Iyo Sky, in a subtitled promo delivered mostly in Japanese, reminded both challengers that their feud seems to ignore one key detail: She’s still the champion. Sky said she’s beaten them both before and has no fear about doing it again. She capped it off in English with a simple promise: at WrestleMania, they’ll never forget the name Iyo Sky.

With WrestleMania just days away, Monday’s Raw did its job: tensions are sky-high, alliances are fragile, and everyone has something to prove. Bayley just pinned one-half of the tag champs, but can she and Lyra make it count on Sunday? Meanwhile, Belair, Ripley, and Sky are set to collide in a three-way title match that feels anything but predictable.
